New Digital Work

We're excited to be working on a shiny new digital project creating a home for visual arts in Glasgow. The site will showcase all of the exciting and varied events and exhibitions within the city, aggregating social feeds from a number of venues and groups with editorial content and developed functionality for phone and tablet browsers. The site launches in a couple of months so we better get to work then!

Sausage Time!

On of the benefits of being the digital agency for Glasgow International Comedy Festival is being lucky enough to get along to a lot of comedy. One of the hightlights of this year's festival for us was Harry Hill's Sausage Time show. The man was bonkers, off his nut and completely insane with over two hours of surreal comedy complete with his own house band on stage with him, a paddling pool, a ventriloquist dummy and a big furry monster! The show was rounded off with him unleashing a giant inflatable sauage into the audience. We found this clip of YouTube that someone had taken at one of his recent shows. Sums it up!

Working with The Lord...

We've been keeping good company recently - in the presence of The Lord. Ok, so it's not the Lord of The Rings, nor is it the fiery Lord Sugar - luckily it's someone else much better than that. For we have been filming Lord Sebastian Coe for a video and animation project that we are undertaking for Glasgow's bid to host the Youth Olympic Games in 2018. It was a pleasure to meet the man who made such a success of the recent London Olympic Games, not to mention the world class athlete who we used to watch at the olympics on TV when we were young. He was a thoroughly decent chap and a pleasure to work with, and now we can say that we are friends with a Lord.

Oh Captain My Captain

In a scene reminicent of the great Dead Poet's Society film JamHot were out and about this week inspiring young minds at the World of Work day at St. James Primary School in Renfrew. Ok, so we have to admit that no kids were standing on tables in admiration of our talk but we did get them running wild around the corridors and classrooms as we set them to work coming up with their own viral YouTube clips to advertise products such as iPhones and Red Bull.

Imagine what a room full of energetic 12 year olds running about trying to act out the effects that Red Bull has on you and you can imagine what our Wednesday consisted of. The pupils in the two classes we worked with were nothing short of awesome - full of enthusiasm and ideas that would put a lot of so called 'creatives' that we have met to shame. It was a pleasure to be invited along to tell them about working in the creative industries and the different roles that there are, and their enthusiasm for creating things and coming up with ideas was truly infectious.

Branding & Exhibition Work

Nothing makes us happier than nice new projects coming in to the studio, so we've been smiling a lot recently as the jobs have been tumbling in! One project that we're loving working on this month is for our friends at EventScotland. We're working with the national events agency on a nice little design and branding project to create Scotland's presence at the upcoming Sport Accord conference in Russia. We're working with them on exhibition design & branding, advertising and other promotional items which will be winging their way to Russia very soon.

Good Morning Glasgow

Creative Mornings : Glasgow Application from JamHot on Vimeo.

We recently had our morning event to put together our application video for Creative Mornings to come to Glasgow. The event was a huge success with 50 people getting up early and joining us for a coffee to hear Donnie Kerrigan from Chunk. The application video (which you can see above) is now with the creative mornings team so we'll let you all know when we hear back. For now, here's some pics from the event.

New Client

We're delighted to be working with Glasgow entertainment destination The Quay on a new website design and development project. In the name of research we're now off for a game of bowling, a bite to eat and to catch a film at the cinema. All in the name of research you understand!

New Work : Tron Theatre

We've recently been working with our good friends at The Tron Theatre on the creative for one of their new in-house productions Secenes Unseen. We worked with them on the main creative identity and the application to their advertising campaign, digital assets, leaflets and show programme.

Jamie popped along to the press launch last night and enjoyed it a great deal. So if you fancy seeing some great new theatre then get yourself along to The Tron.
