New Work : Campaign

Ho ho ho... we've just launched a new Christmas Campaign for Ocean Terminal - Edinburgh's Largest Shopping Centre. The campaign is set to run across multuple formats over the next 5 weeks including digital, TV, radio, outdoor, press and special custom built sparkly LED lit busses that will be making their way around Scotland's Capital.

The FIFA Tournament Begins

We've kicked off the week at JamHot HQ with something pretty immense.... a FIFA tournament! We've joined up with our friends and fellow Eldon Street residents at UpUp Design and Offshoot Design to kick off the 1st even Eldon Cup. 

We're only a few gemes in to it and already the competition is heating up. We've already seen a 7-0 hammering and quite a lot of swearing. Up for grabs is some cash and the 1st ever Eldon Cup! 

Let the games begin...

MAKLab

As part of the Cross Creative course that he's attending at the moment, Graeme was away visiting the team at MAKLab in The Lighthouse in Glasgow last week. The facility was set up by Bruce Newlands and Ian Elder and is part of the worldwide FabLabs network. 


MAKLab allows people to bring their ideas for products to life - accessing the expertise of the staff and use of the lab equipment to turn their ideas in to real products and designs. 


There's a lot of impressive kit on offer including 3D printers. It was great to see these in action as it's a technology that we at JamHot are really excited about. It's still in its early days but the future opportunities that it will present to people and companies are really exciting - although the notion of a printer being able to print spare parts for itself is slightly terrifying!


If you are in the area, we'd urge you to pop in to The Lighthouse and take a look at the MAKLab facilities, we were really impressed with them.

The Mighty EICA

The JamHot team were out and about this weekend at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena. We were commissioned to produce a series of on-line videos as part of the content strategy for the new Edinburgh Leisure and EICA websites. 

Part of the shoot involved taking a head mounted go-pro camera round the very scary Aerial Assault course, 100m above the ground! Not for the feint hearted!

Satisfaction

Some of the JamHot crew were lucky enough to be down at the recent Rolling Stones gig at the O2. Having never seen them live before it was a pretty awesome sight - they may be in their 70s but they're doing pretty well for it. Here was one of the highlights - when Jeff Beck joined them to play a cover of Going Down.

New Work : Xscape Winter Campaign

Another new campaign for our friends at Xscape. This time we were tasked with creating a campaign to promote the centre as the ultimate winter destination. We created a striking 3D treatment of the word Xscape with each letter made of of a different activity element within the centre. 

The campaign is set to run across digital, radio, press and outdoor formats as well as in-centre branding and promotions.
