Gab 18. Creative Event Review.

Our first Gab event of the year saw a packed house at Sloan’s Grand Ballroom with four diverse speakers talking about their creative journeys.

Gillian from Creative Dundee provided an insight into the creative scene in this great city, and how the organisation and creative community has developed and flourished since Creative Dundee was set up ten years ago.

Cara, otherwise known as Natty Shed Girl, gave a humorous talk with a serious message about internet trolls, and her experience of dealing with abusive and insulting comments and how she fought back and saw huge benefits to her business as a result.

Chris and Matt shared their story of setting up drinks branding agency Thirst and launched an exciting new project - winning over fans both with their honestly and also the gift of free beer for all.

Our final speaker was Lewis from Edinburgh based production studio Campfire, who gave an inspiring talk about creativity and the power of collaboration.

Thanks to everyone who came along and for the continuing support of the events. We know that there were loads of folk on the waiting list for this one, and we’ll have a think about how we might accommodate some more folk in the future.

All ticket sales from this Gab were donated to child bereavement charity Winston’s Wish.
