It's time for the next Gab #19 we have a very special collection of speakers who will share their creative journey with us. 

Frank Quitely

Frank Quitely is a prolific Scottish comic book artist, known for his work on titles such as Superman, X-Men, Batman & Robin as well as his collaborations with Mark Millar on The Authority and Jupiter’s Legacy. In 2017 Frank’s work was showcased in a special exhibition at Kelvingrove Art Gallery. Join us to hear about Frank’s creative journey from being born in Glasgow to working on world renowned comic book titles.

Kate Dawkins

Kate is an award winning designer, creative director and founder of Kate Dawkins Studio. A studio specialising in creating and delivering bespoke content for spectacular live performances, shows and brand events, working across both projection and LED, indoor and outdoor. Kate has many years of unrivalled experience in designing and delivering distinctive visual content for some of the largest global brands, from the giant 360° ‘Audience pixels’ for the London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies, to Adidas, Samsung, Jaguar Land Rover, Elton John’s Las Vegas show and Fast & Furious Live.

Mick Cooke

Mick Cooke is a BAFTA-winning composer for film and TV. He played trumpet and bass for BRIT award winners, Belle & Sebastian, for 15 years. He also co-wrote the musical comedy, ‘Cannibal Women of Mars,’ which was co-produced with the Tron Theatre Company and Limelight. He’ll be gabbing, alongside his co-writers Alan Wilkinson and Gordon Davidson, about the somewhat precarious process of getting ‘CWoM’ from page to stage.
